The Vision

Start with people. Grow with care.

Michael's original plan began with a focused pilot of 7 to 10 athletes. It called for a consistent mentorship rhythm, foundational content, leadership resources, small-group materials, athlete onboarding, and careful documentation of what participants learned. That number is an original planning target, not an athlete-served count or an enrollment promise.

Following Michael's passing in September 2026, his family and the Foundation's leadership are carrying his vision forward and prayerfully confirming the next stage of the work.

The envisioned path

Three stages, each earned by care.

  1. Stage 1

    Proof of concept

Establish a small athlete cohort, mentorship practices, safety and governance systems, and honest feedback.

  2. Stage 2

    Structured expansion

Grow cohorts and regional relationships only when mentorship capacity and operational support are ready.

  3. Stage 3

    A durable community

Develop leadership cohorts, campus relationships, and an alumni network in which former athletes can mentor those who follow.

The original timeline described a first year, years two to three, and years three to five. Following Michael's death, the dates and operational commitments should be revisited by the Foundation's leadership before the site advertises a schedule or opens applications.

What success means

Measure what can be documented.

The founding plan proposed looking at mentorship participation, athlete engagement and retention, leadership development, feedback and testimonials shared with consent, governance, and financial discipline. It also envisioned alumni influence long after eligibility ends. This site will report actual numbers and outcomes only when they exist and can be documented.

For athletes and mentors

Express interest. Do not expect a start date yet.

Elevate's vision is centered on college and high-level athletes who want to grow in faith and leadership. It also depends on mature mentors who will show up consistently and care for athletes well. Until participation criteria, safeguarding procedures, and program availability are confirmed, we invite visitors to express interest rather than promise acceptance or a start date.
