Identity before influence.
Our worth is not determined by performance, popularity, or earning potential. In Christ, athletes can learn to face success with humility and setbacks without losing themselves.
Mission & Approach
Our mission is to help athletes develop faith, character, leadership, and long-term purpose through intentional Christian mentorship and community.
Why this matters
College and high-level athletes navigate intense demands: performance pressure, public scrutiny, social media visibility, transfers, and name, image, and likeness opportunities. Opportunity can grow quickly, while the time and space to form a grounded identity may not. A slump, injury, transfer, or public criticism can then feel like a verdict on a person's worth.
Elevate's founding insight is simple: the athlete's platform may grow, but the person needs care and formation that lasts. The Foundation was envisioned as a consistent layer of spiritual mentorship alongside the support athletes already receive in sport.
How Elevate approaches formation
Our worth is not determined by performance, popularity, or earning potential. In Christ, athletes can learn to face success with humility and setbacks without losing themselves.
Formation takes time, trust, consistency, and community. Michael's plan centers on structured mentorship, small-group conversation, spiritual resources, and accountability.
Decisions made under pressure, conflict on a team, online conduct, and responsibility to others are all places where character becomes visible. Leadership is developed intentionally, not assumed because someone has a platform.
Elevate does not reject name, image, and likeness opportunities. Its vision asks athletes to consider how they represent their values and care for the influence entrusted to them. The Foundation is a formation ministry, not a recruiting agency or marketing collective.
What we believe
Faith is the foundation of the model, rather than a decorative addition. Spiritual formation calls for Scripture, consistent community, honest accountability, and patient mentorship. The aim is not simply to improve public behavior. It is to help athletes live from an identity grounded in Christ.
Formation before fame. Identity before influence. Character before platform.
